Kyle Edmund defeats Dan Evans in Dallas Final

At the RBC Tennis Championships in Dallas in the early hours of the morning it was an all British final as the Davis Cup teammates Dan Evans and Kyle Edmund met for the first time on the challenger tour.

Both players pulled off some very good wins throughout the tournament with Dan taking out Becker and Ito on his way to the final whereas the second seed Edmund didn’t drop a set on his way to lifting the title and was very impressive against former top 70 ranked player Tim Smyczek on route to the final.

It took just over an hour for Kyle to seal the win against his Davis Cup team mate winning 6-3 6-2 with just 18 points dropped on serve during the entire match and saved all 5 break points he faced against Evans.

This win leaves Kyle ranked inside the top 90 in the world and for Dan who began the week at 174 is now on the verge of breaking back into the top 150.
