The biggest news to come up out of Roland Garros this week is the withdrawal of Rafael Nadal. The former world number one and nine time champion on the clay in Paris has this afternoon announced his withdrawal from the tournament due to a wrist injury.
Nadal has said he has been struggling with the wrist injury for a couple of weeks and had to play with an injection yesterday and his wrist continued to hurt more last night. Nadal was in Djokovic’ half of the draw and was set to play Marcel Granollers in the next round but the Spaniard will receive a walkover into the next round of the tournament.
