It’s a sad day for Tennis, David Ferrer who will go down as one of tennis’ greatest fighters has played his final Grand Slam tournament.
David will go down as one of the tours great fighters. His career should be celebrated not people speculating if he could have achieved more.
In this rough era dominated by some of the greatest of all times he has achieved so much and never gave up.
I said a while back tennis needs more David Ferrer’s and he will be missed when he does hang up his racket.
Since his main draw major debut in 2003 he has only ever missed one tournament that was Wimbledon 2015 due to injury and his last against his good friend Rafa ended but not as he would like it to having to retire with injury for the first time in a Grand Slam and for the last time in his Grand Slam career.
David’s career is not done yet.
He has selected tournaments for the rest of this year and next year which doesn’t include the Australian Open and will end in Madrid.
