The season is upon us. As 2018 comes to an end the players on the ATP and WTA tour are coming to the end of their pre-season training blocks as they get set to head for Dubai, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland come the New Year, but who has been where?
Andy Murray has been doing his usual training block in Miami. He has been there for a few weeks since the beginning of December and is still out there now. The plan is not yet decided but he is expected to go home from Crandon Park before jetting off to Brisbane.
Stan Wawrinka’s preparations are also going well after a good few weeks in Monaco and on site at Monte-Carlo, David Goffin was also spotted on site in early December practicing with the Swiss star.
Another player who has been very active on social media is Victoria Azarenka. The Belarussian has teamed up with Wim Fissette once again and is determined to get back to her best this year. Vika will begin the year in Auckland.
It all has been a little quiet on the Serena front of late but videos have been appearing of the world number one training with coach Patrick Mouratoglou. Serena is set to travel to Mubadala Championships once again and is due to play sister Venus on the 27th.
Serena’s season is set to begin in Perth at the Hopman Cup before heading to Melbourne.
