ATP Qatar

One of the first tournaments of the year get’s going before the year is out. ATP Qatar will be the first stop for so many top player who took big headlines in 2018.

The headliner is of course World number one Novak Djokovic who will be joined by one other top 10 player in Dominic Thiem. Also in the draw is David Goffin who begins the year ranked at 22 and his target must be a top 8 finish. Also in the draw is two players who both stunned Djokovic in 2018 both in Paris, one at Roland Garros and one at the Masters and they are Marco Cecchinato and Karen Khachanov respectively.

ATP Brisbane

The field here is set to be incredible!

Nadal, Nishikori, Edmund, Medvedev, Raonic, Dimitrov, De Minaur and Kyrgios will all be seeded for the first big test down under ahead of the Australian Open.

Adding to the excitement is the returning of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and also Andy Murray who will be using their protected ranking into the draw.

WTA Brisbane

Singapore champion Elina Svitolina is the top seed here and this will be the first time we see her in a competitive light after the biggest title of her career. Also on route to Brisbane is 6 other members of the top 10 which includes; Osaka, Stephens, Kvitova, Pliskova, Bertens and Kasatkina.

WTA Shenzhen

It’s a bit of a quiet one down in Shenzhen. Most of the top ranked players on the tour seem to be heading off to Australia to begin their seasons but two players who really do need to prove themselves and get off to a good start are Jelena Ostapenko and Maria Sharapova.

WTA Auckland

World number three Caroline Wozniacki leads the line-up in Auckland before she heads off to Melbourne to do something she has never done before and that is to attempt to defend her Grand Slam title.

Another player seeded in the draw is Venus Williams but one big name which will be there but unseeded is Victoria Azarenka.
