No one has ever played better tennis than this!

Whether you are his biggest fan or not you cannot deny how simply exceptional Novak Djokovic is playing at the moment.

On route to the final and on opposite sides of the draw we saw the talents of Nadal and Djokovic in full flight.

The pair of players played exceptional well throughout the fortnight. I was delighted to see Rafa live and I would go as far as saying this was one of his best tournaments for some time.

Up stepped Novak Djokovic in the final and well… what can you do?

In his semi-final against the Serb hit just 5 unforced errors against Pouille and in the final against Nadal hit just 9 unforced errors.

The level of performance is simply un-matched.

It is amazing and a testament to his fight and character on what he has achieved these last 12 months.

Up until May of last year he played 12 and won 6, the ranking was dropping following surgery and recovery and then since Roland Garros he’s been on another planet. There have been some surprising defeats but can you really fault the man who has now won the last three Grand Slams and completed the Masters 1000 career collection?

When you look back over the last 20 years or so I really don’t believe there is anyone who has played better tennis than Novak right now.

Also he may have had some defeats over the last few months to Agut, Zverev and Khachanov but is there anyone who is going to sustain a challenge against Novak right now? I don’t see it and we should look at this period of domination following his 15th Grand Slam title and 7th Australian Open title as a privilege to watch.
