Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares are safely through to the semi-finals in Monte-Carlo.
The third seeds who have needed all three sets so far in their opening two victories down in Monte-Carlo only needed two sets to see off Joao Sousa and Diego Schwartzman who usually play their trade on the singles tour.
For the first ten games it was even.
There was nothing to separate either teams who held service games easily but you could see that the Schwartzman and Sousa pairing don’t play as much because some balls got left for each other but when Murray and Soares turned it on and as deadly as they are especially at the net it was a joy to watch.
At 5-5 they went onto win another 5games in a row to lead 7-5 3-0 and didn’t look back despite a couple holds from the new pairing they could not do anything to impose on their serve of the Brit or the Brazilian who recorded these impressive stats on route to another semi-final in Monte-Carlo.
A really impressive performance from the team!
