Kiki Bertens & Bianca Andreescu withdraw from Roland Garros

The women’s draw has wildly opened up.

teenager Bianca Andreescu who made her return to tennis just over 48 hours ago following a two month injury break due to a shoulder issue has withdrawn from Roland Garros with a shoulder issue. Let’s hope it isn’t serious and we get to see her on the grass soon.

Sofia Kenin receives a walk-over in round three.

Kiki Bertens was one of my favourites to do well here in Paris however the world number four who has easily had the best clay court season leading unto the second major of the year has been sadly forced to retire from her match.

Kiki was trailing 21 year old Kuzmova 1-3 in the third set before calling on the trainer.

Kiki told the trainer;

“I have no power, I am shaking like hell”

This is truly cruel as she’s worked so hard to get to this position to be considered a contender and I’m sure she will be back fighting fit and contending again very shortly!

I wish both players well ahead of the grass!
