Thursday night entertainment does not get better than this.
Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez have seen off the top seeds at Queens Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal 7-6 6-3.
Just to see Andy Murray back on court once again fist pumping was a sight we have missed over the course of the year.
As ever with new doubles team there are moments of lack of communication which you’d expect and even happens with the best of teams.
These two complimented each other well. Murray of course is a strong returner and we saw his full net play in action.
After a close first set it had to be decided by a tie-break and once we got to set two we saw the best from Murray.
His game looked so strong and was a delight to see him go from strength to strength in the match after he said he had nerves and butterflies once he stepped out.
Andy and Feliciano showed some big guts as well as a team with a big break point saved in the seventh game of the second set and a bit of luck with a long down the line shot from Cabal.
It was a fitting end to a wonderful day of tennis seeing Andy Murray win again is just fantastic!
