Andy Murray and his doubles partner from France Pierre-Hugues Herbert are out of the men’s doubles.
The British/French pair came up the Croat pair of Mektic and Skugor who recovered from a set down to defeat Murray and Herbert 6-7 6-4 6-2 6-3.
This is only the third time that Skugor has taken part in the doubles at Wimbledon and has made the semi-finals on his previous two occasions in 2017 and 2018 and is still on track for a hat-trick but there is a long way to go yet.
It is a sad end for Murray and Herbet to come up against a tough pairing so early in the competition but also in the first round having to come from a set down to see off Copil and the man in the fourth round of the singles following his win against Auger-Aliassime, Ugo Humbert.
It is a shame it is the end of the road but we do have Andy & Serena in the mixed doubles to look forward to as well!
