Serena Williams on Saturday will bid for her 8th Wimbledon title and a 24th Grand Slam title.
The former world number one has been incredible on her run to the final and has got better and better as the tournament progresses with a semi-final thrashing of Barbora Strycova defeating the 33 year old 6-1 6-2.
Serena looked locked in once again, the moment she came onto the court and she just was faultless.
In the first set after going 5-1 up she did find herself 0-40 down on serve but five points in a row sealed the set for the 7 time champion.
It was a complete performance and as I said she has got better and better as the fortnight has progressed. The serve has got better and better, movement, ground strokes and the way she dealt with the game of Barbora was excellent with some great shots at the net.
Barbora’s drop shots didn’t really work today but even if they did it would have taken something special to halt or even trouble Serena who seems so relaxed, calm and fresh despite a year of limited tennis for the 23 time Grand Slam champion!
59 minutes it took and she will be back on Saturday to take on Simona Halep!
