Stefanos turns on the style again as Rafa comes back from the brink but his fate is out of his hands!

Wednesday was a wild day and night in London.

Only Stefanos Tsitsipas has confirmed his place in the next round of the competition following his excellent performance against Alex Zverev in straight sets.

It was a very competitive start to the match from both players but it was only the 21 year old who could sustain his level during the match with the German struggling and completely dropping off.

The pressure was on the defending champion as he came into this meeting with Stefanos having lost their previous three with two of them this year but the Greek won in his easiest victory yet.

Earlier on in the day saw Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev go head to head once more following their epic US Open final a couple of months back.

Daniil who produced a late fight in Flushing Meadows was on the receiving end this time around.

5-1 40-30 and Daniil Medvedev was moments away from knocking Rafael Nadal out. Before you know it, were in a tie-break and Rafael Nadal had kept his hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive but it won’t be that simple.

His fate is out of his hands now.

On Friday we will have Nadal v Tsitsipas and Zverev v Medvedev but any Zverev win over two of three sets will knock Nadal out.
