Former doubles world number one Sania Mirza is to return to tennis in 2020.
The 33 year old from Mumbai, India took a break from the tour a couple of years back as she became a mother and is set to return in Hobart.
Mirza is a winner of three majors all won with Martina Hingis in 2015/2016 when the two were a formidable pair on the tour.
Sania ended both years as year end number one in a career in which so far has seen her picked up 41 doubles titles.
Sania will team up with Ukraine’s Nadiia Kichenok who is ranked top 40. The 27 year old is very experienced on the singles and doubles tour winning 518 of her 873 matches and all four titles coming in the doubles.
They will start off in Hobart and have also been confirmed for the Australian Open where Sania was champion in 2016 with Martina Hingis.
