Joining Forces, who is teaming up for Australian Open mixed doubles?

32 teams, 5 rounds and one champion (well two).

With no Hopman Cup on the calendar a shot at mixed doubles is now only available at the majors. Who is going to take home the first mixed doubles title of the year?

The top seeds are Barbora Strycova and Marcelo Melo but they do face a tough opener against the unseeded Bethanie Matteo Sands and Jamie Murray who have had success together in New York.

Jelena Ostapenko is playing mixed once again. The Latvian took the headlines at the event in Wimbledon with her serves catching the head of teammate Robert Lindstedt but instead she is with Leander Paes this in Melbourne.

Venus Williams is also involved in the draw this year, the American is teaming up with Juan Sebastian Cabal. The Colombian of course cannot play in Melbourne with his doubles partner Robert Farah due to the drugs test he failed so is playing with Jaume Munar and also the mixed with Venus.

The tricky Su-Wei Hsieh is teaming up with Neal Skupski to be the last of the eight seeds with the top of course being Barbora and Marcelo with the other six being:

2 – Saisai Zhang & Nicolas Mahut
3 – Gabriella Dabrowksa & Henri Kontinen
4 – Hao-Ching Chan & Michael Venus
5 – Barbora Krejcikova & Nikolas Metkic
6 – Latisha Chang & Ivan Dodig
7 – Sam Stosur & Jean-Julien Rojer

Other teams include:

Iga Swiatek & Lukas Kubot
Nicole Melichar & Bruno Soares

Finally, the one everyone has been talking about is Nick Kyrgios and Amanda Anisimova which will be fun!
