Roger Federer has won his 10th title at home in Basel where he was once a ball kid during the tournament many years ago for Michael Stich. The first came back in 2006 and he has dominated proceedings in the Swiss capital over the last 13 years. Quite a fun stat coming into the final, this was Roger Federer’s 157th ATP singles final where as it was only Alex De Minaur’s 108th match on the ATP tour. Alex may be disappointed with the closeness of the match but can take plenty of positives from his second career ATP 500 final … Continue reading Roger Federer wins his 10th title in Basel! 🏆🇨🇭

Bouncing back is what great champions do and it is what is expected from Roger Federer when he takes on Mikhail Kukushkin in Basel after his second round loss to Albert Ramos-Vinolas in Shanghai not long ago. I remember watching the second and third set off the match it was won and lost on the tightest of margins and then when you looked at the stats from the match Federer couldn’t have probably asked for a more perfect performance, the only thing that let him down was the break points won which was 2/6. Federer and Kukushkin do have history … Continue reading Basel Preview – Roger Federer v Mikhail Kukushkin
Rafael Nadal and Lukas Rosol do have history.
