Dan Evans splits opinion. April 2017 Dan failed a drugs test at Barcelona. He had just reached a career high of 41 and out of competition took the class A drug. Dan’s tennis world fell apart around him. He received a one year ban from the sport and over the course of the year has made an impressive comeback. As subsequent of his ban from the sport was that his ranking would drop. He fell in May of last year just after he returned to the tour at 1195 but is now back up to 63 in the world following … Continue reading Dan Evans; Cocaine, 1195 to 63 in 13 months, Murray spat, Miami outburst, Practice with Federer & Impressive comeback!

Very “Lucky Loser” ? – Dan Evans receives spot despite ‘f•••••g s•••show’ outburst and point penalty

I think tennis does need to have a look at itself. Dan Evans was defeated 6-4 6-4 by Alexander Bublik in the final round of qualifying for Miami main draw in a match which was just chaos. I understand the frustration to the poor line calls but there is a line and it got crossed. Dan said during the match; “That was a f—ing s—show out here. During the first set Sky Sport’s commentator and former coach of Andy Murray Mark Petchy said; “If you press, … Continue reading Edmund finds variety after sloppy start to see off Evans
