Jamie Murray has shown the LTA was giving back is. The seven time Grand Slam champion has set the bar for the LTA to follow with a week of giving back at the Murray trophy in Glasgow. This is a new tournament on the challenger circuit this year and was named after Jamie & Andy Murray in celebration of the brothers achievements. Back with a win; 6-4 6-7 10-5 Andy & Jamie 🇬🇧

Andy and Jamie Murray are back in action with a win! This was the first time the duo have played together for a couple of years and many more years on the tour. The first round opponents for the British pair were French pairing of Nicolás Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vaselin. Most of Nicolas’ success in doubles has come with Pierre Hugues Herbert who is focusing more on singles right now but of course didn’t play doubles with his fellow Frenchman at Wimbledon to play with Andy Murray. That partnership ended in round one but Mahut and Roger-Vaselin made it to … Continue reading Back with a win; 6-4 6-7 10-5 Andy & Jamie 🇬🇧

Jamie & Bruno cruise into semi-finals

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares are safely through to the semi-finals in Monte-Carlo. The third seeds who have needed all three sets so far in their opening two victories down in Monte-Carlo only needed two sets to see off Joao Sousa and Diego Schwartzman who usually play their trade on the singles tour. For the first ten games it was even. There was nothing to separate either teams who held service games easily but you could see that the Schwartzman and Sousa pairing don’t play as much because some balls got left for each other but when Murray and Soares … Continue reading Jamie & Bruno cruise into semi-finals

Jamie & Bruno into the semi-finals at the O2

The only British representative this year in London is Jamie Murray and he and his Brazilian teammate Bruno Soares have qualified for the semi-finals following their straight sets win seeing off Cabal and Farah from Colombia 6-3 6-4 in just over an hour. The match began with an exchange of breaks between the fourth and second seeds but it was Jamie and Bruno who really took control of the match and didn’t really look back at all winning big points and when they managed to get ahead kept that position against the second seeds who are debuting in London this … Continue reading Jamie & Bruno into the semi-finals at the O2
