The wait is over. The Australian Open is back and one player Australian’s are happy to see back is Thanasi Kokkinakis. Having burst onto the scene a couple of years back with some impressive performances injuries have halted the young Aussie but he has worked extremely hard to be competitive on the tour once again. Last week Thanasi Kokkinakis and Jordan Thompson received wildcards into the Brisbane doubles and well they stole the show with a first round win against Lucas Pouille and Stan Wawrinka followed by a win against the world number one team Pierre Hughes Herbet and Nicholas Mahut before finishing the week with a win against Muller and Querrey before a semi-final win against Nestor and Roger-Vasselin.
