One word to describe Naomi Osaka’s performance against Bianca Andreescu? Gutsy. The former world number one never gave up and that’s a lesson you can’t teach in this sport. I actually don’t know where to begin. I need a lie down after that, my head hurts. That match had more rollercoasters than a day out at Disneyland. 21:15 local time Naomi Osaka kicked off proceeding racing 40-0 up on serve before losing five points in a row and found herself a break down. Simona Halep will be at the WTA Finals for the sixth year running. The Wimbledon champion has had a difficult couple of weeks which recently forced the Romanian to retire in Wuhan but did head straight to Beijing. Halep’s run in Beijing didn’t last long.
