Stuttgart; what got us talking?

WTA Stuttgart is over for another year, the best always begin their clay court season here and we have been left with plenty of talking points in the road to Roland Garros. Injury concerns? I would say the withdrawal of Halep (pre-tournament) and Osaka (before semi-finals) is purely precautionary. I don’t think there is an underlying issue with Halep just tiredness and maybe a niggle following an emotional weekend in Rouen. Halep posted on Twitter practicing on clay a day after her pulling out and asking Stan for backhand tips. Hey ⁦@stanwawrinka⁩ – what do ya think? Can I make … Continue reading Stuttgart; what got us talking?

I’m not that surprised but Simona Halep has withdrawn from Stuttgart. The Romanian number one and world number two spent 7 hours on court in just over 24 hours in Fed Cup experiencing all emotions as Romanian narrowly missed out on a place in what would have been their first Fed Cup Final.
